Visa VietnamPrivate e-visa service

An honest comparison

Apply yourself, or use a visa service?

You can apply yourself on the official portal, evisa.gov.vn, for US$25 (single entry) or US$50 (multiple entry); no agency is required. A service is worth paying when you are short on time, unsure about your photo or passport scan, or want someone to handle the filing and follow-up. If your trip is weeks away and your documents are simple, apply yourself.

When applying yourself is the right choice

  • Your trip is more than two weeks away.
  • Your photo is recent, 4x6 cm, on a white background, without glasses.
  • Your passport has a simple name and you can read its two code lines.
  • You are comfortable filling a long form in English and paying by card on a government site.

When a service helps

  • You want one price, US$74 all-inclusive (US$99 for multiple entry), government fee included, and a form mostly filled in from your passport.
  • You are unsure about the photo, the name order or the border gates.
  • You prefer someone to submit, follow up and check the e-visa against your passport.

Is this the official website?

No. We are a private application service, not the Government of Vietnam. The official portal is evisa.gov.vn, and the e-visa is issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department in both cases. Be wary of any site that looks like the official portal or promises approval.

What you need to apply

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date
  • A clear photo of your passport's data page, with no cut corners and both code lines at the bottom visible
  • A recent portrait photo: white background, face straight, no hat, no glasses, formal clothes
  • Your planned entry date, the airport or border gate you will use to enter and to leave, and the address of your first accommodation in Vietnam
  • An email address (50 characters maximum) and a phone number with its country code

How it works, step by step
